Sea urchins are small, rounded and spiny seafood found on rocky shore. Sea urchins are from the same family as starfish, sand dollars and sea cucumbers and can be found in sea water.

They are often called "Uni" in Japanese restaurants. They can be of different colors, from purple to dark brown. Inside, their flesh is a rust-coloured paste. Sea urchin is a fresh, salty, colourful and extremely creamy seafood which melts in your mouth.

They are rich in vitamins, omega 3 and it is considered as clean food because it has a low mercury load.
