The Longman family have been farmers and cheesemakers in the Camelot Valley for more than two centuries.

In the 1930s, the great-grandfather of the current generation, William Longman, began to develop the family farm cheese business through a system of cooperative farming without losing any of its traditions which already has.

William Longman was awarded the MBE for Agricultural Service in 1964, which was achieved through hard work and commitment
