Achill Oysters
The Achill oyster company, now in its fifth generation, harvests award-winning rock oysters from the waters surrounding Achill island on the west coast of Ireland. They grow in the sandy bay that lies on top of a sunken peat bog. This is where their oysters get their unique taste.
The oysters are grown in certified A class waters. These products are completely free of artificial foods or additives and are purified in saltwater before shipping. As the ocean moves continuously through the trestles, oyster deep cups are formed. It is their commitment to sustainable farming and to guaranteeing the freshness of oysters. The company has its own dedicated dispatch center where oysters can be stored and purified.
