Balik Farm is more than 300 years old, in the heart of Swiss Alps, where wood is of exceptional quality and water extremely pure, rich in minerals. This is where Atlantic salmon, caught in Norway from icy waters in fjords are smoked, is smoked. Hans Gerd Kübel, Balik’s founder, has built a smokehouse as in greater Russia, with the help of Israel Kaplan, grandson of the Master smoker at the Imperial Court. The architecture has been designed as in Tsar Nikolaj’s era, to produce the same smoked salmon served to Russia aristocracy, back in the days. Balik Farm location in Ebersol also benefits of the unique mix of local swiss woods and mountain air to smoke the salmons, producing about 115 tons per year. The Balik Farm is certified ISO9001/2015 and its products are Halal & Kosher.
